The Paleo, that has been named after the Paleolithic Era may not sound like the best and most exciting diet, but there is no doubt that that it is a healthy way of life and one of the best means of staying away from weight loss as well as disease prevention.

No Heat: If the food you are preparing does not require any heating, you can use fish oil, flax seed oil, hemp seed oil, cod liver oil and nut oil. Canola oil is universally endorsed.

It is very important for you to understand that good fats do not add to the extra calories and weight. It is only the unsaturated fats that are actually harmful for your body. Saturated fats are not as harmful, but these should also be consumed in moderation. When it comes to Paleo dieters, some fats are good and are the main source of energy for the diet followers. These fats produce ketones bodies, which is very important for staying healthy.

Oils That should Be Eliminated From Paleo Diet

Those oils that are rich in Omega-6 or polyunsaturated fatty acid should be completely eliminated from the diet. It is these oils that actually harm the body. Examples of these oils include peanut oil, corn oil, grape seed oil and soybean oil. Oil such as coconut oil is recommended because it is 92% saturated fat. Ghee and butter are also recommended because they contain conjugated linoleic acids. Similarly, avocado oil that is rich in fiber, potassium, vitamin E and vitamin B is also recommended.
